A lovely programme of music inspired by pantomime stories. Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty Suite is music from the score of his famous ballet. Rupert Cole's 2023 composition Resonant Tale is music from the soundtrack of the PlayDate game of the same name. Nielsen's Aladdin Suite was composed in 1917 and has been popular ever since. The concert ends with Prokofiev's evergreen Cinderella.
